Dear Members and Friends of the Ferrari Owners Club UAE,

Our website has been offline for a while now, while we are busy on a major revamp of the website. I nevertheless wanted to share with you what we have been doing since this summer, after we did the fantastic European Trip to Switzerland and Italy in June.

We started the year with a Track Event on the Dubai Autodrome track with some 40 cars participating on October 10th. We then attended the opening event of the official Ferrari Store in Festival Centre Mall, the biggest Ferrari Store worldwide. Check out some of the pictures of this event in the gallery section!
This past weekend we then joined thousands of other racing enthusiasts for the F1 Racing weekend in Abu Dhabi. I am sure most of you have seen the videos on YouTube and the coverage on the Gulf News newspaper. A total of 82 cars, 65 of those club members, drove in a huge convoy from Dubai to Abu Dhabi where we all attended the free practice on Friday afternoon.

The parade was very impressive and I would like to extend a big thank you and huge compliment to the Police in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for making sure that we could move this enormous amount of Ferraris, the biggest parade of Ferraris ever in the Middle East, safely and quickly over the highways and streets of the two emirates. Thanks for a great job! And what a fantastic track the Yas Island Circuit turned out to be! Wow, Abu Dhabi has certainly created one of the best F1 venues in the world!

We are now in the middle of our planning for the next couple of events; another track day on the Autodrome on December 5th, open to watch to the general public, a special club visit to Yas Island Circuit later in November, and our last event this calendar year on December 18th/19th.

We have now grown the club to close to 90 active members and I hope to announce soon that we have reached the 100-members status. But for those who know the club, our members and me, this club is not about getting as many members as possible. Instead of sheer size, we prefer active members, who made the deliberate choice to join the club to share the Ferrari passion of the other members.
